Inocencio

I‘m Brazilian and lived in Rio de Janeiro since 2008, studying philosophy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ. I studied two years in visual arts at Parque Lage. The monograph is about the classical reception in Myth’s Birth of Aphrodite. The study involves the ancient poems of Hesiod and Homer, the philosophical influences in Plato in the Symposium with the speech of Pausanias and its aesthetic formalization in the Renaissance. For the understanding of myth and its representation I use the interpretation of key proposed by Georges Didi-Huberman in his book “Ouvrir Venus.” Aside from the research, I work in performances of erotic and political nature, focusing on post-porn movement and also versions directed to the religious rite and not only in Greek mythology but also influenced by African religiosity and its reception in Brazil.
